In this GoFerIt collection I specifically chose phrases we use to encourage us to Do. In these pieces I continue to explore the inter-letter spaces, colour contrasts and blends. Using a range of proverbs, seanfocail, sayings and wise words collected over decades.
The typeface used is my own Cloister. It was inspired by the architectural detail of monastic buildings such as Tintern and Dunbrody Abbey, County Wexford , Ireland. Cloister was created through a process involving photography, sketches, design, drawing, planning, scanning input and output as a computer-used font.
These pieces are mounted and displayed using print finishing, signage and point-of-sale materials.
